Plasmo Pandemonium!

By popular demand Plasmo voice was added to Dominion, this transforms your Minecraft client into a voice chat client. Plasmo does have one big caveat: As players are farther away from each other, their speech becomes quieter before fading out completely. You could call this both a feature and a downside, however, with Discord voice not going away this is more of a nice addition than a substitution. Due to Plasmo's lower friction as compared to Discord voice, meetings in game have transformed into speaking arrangements. The change is fairly new and yet there have already been amazing, fun, and novel possibilities such as impromptu voice chats when meeting someone in the shopping district to discuss a deal, or having a karaoke night on the mailbox (as was had by TwoBirds_ and friends). The original suggestion came almost unanimously positive after a suggestion from Boss_Daily then a 93% approval rating.

Adopting such a vanilla feature in other games into the server appears to have brought about a wide adoption rate. Many video games have their voice chat built-in directly. Although Discord chat continues to see use with a lot of these video games, in-game chat sees a lot of widespread use. This appears to be the case with the Dominion Server, with Karaoke, random meetings/conversations and will probably continue to grow. This mod also offers other features for staff, such as a priority chat which forces people around the staff member to be quieter and the speaker louder. Such a feature could see a rollout with future events, although with its opt-in nature, this seems less likely. Plasmo voice is a feature bringing the Minecraft server in line with other online experiences. It is one to be tried out by all. You can find out more information at this link.
